Supporting strategic communications for a leading arts university.

The brief

A leading arts university embarked on a significant change project: repurposing an existing site to establish a dedicated pre-degree campus. This initiative required swift and effective strategic communications to inform and engage internal stakeholders. Given the complexity and sensitivity of the message, the university sought external support to ensure timely and consistent delivery.

Our approach

Culture Change Works was tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic communications plan. Our approach involved a swift assessment of the project's implications, identifying key stakeholders and potential communication challenges. We collaborated with senior university colleagues to craft a clear and compelling message that addressed concerns and highlighted the benefits of the new pre-degree campus.

We developed a targeted communication plan to reach all relevant stakeholders. This involved a mix of channels, such as email, intranet updates, and face-to-face briefings. We provided ongoing support and guidance to senior colleagues, ensuring consistent messaging and addressing emerging issues.

Results

By working closely with the university's leadership team, we successfully delivered the strategic communications plan within the tight timeframe, ensuring that stakeholders were informed in a timely manner. We developed and implemented a consistent messaging framework, ensuring all communications reinforced the key messages. The successful implementation of the strategic communications plan contributed to the smooth transition to the new pre-degree campus.
