Boost your meetings: tips for effective online and offline sessions

Love them or hate them we can’t escape meetings and running them effectively is an important part of establishing and motivating teams. Here are some tips to help you think about how your meetings run, whether online or offline: 

Definition: spend some time talking about the identity of the group that’s coming together and help everyone understand their role within it 

Mission: make sure every meeting has a clear agenda and purpose - being prepared and organised leads to more efficient outcomes  

Creativity: seek ways to stay creative to build inspiration and cooperation  

Action: refine ideas into actions, clarifying the collective goals and deadlines so that each person understands their role in achieving them 

Appreciation: a simple "thank you" can go a long way - regularly celebrate each other's contributions to create a positive work environment 

Authenticity: Encourage team members to be genuine - when people feel safe to express themselves, teamwork and meetings improve significantly
